436 Amy Court is located on a cul de sac on the southwest corner of town, bordering Solar Ranches. This is a winter view from the street.
There is a covered porch with stone bench, the window trim is two by cedar, the exterior is stucco and cedar lap siding.

The vertical stonework was done by local stonemason, Nathanial Welsh. The flatwork is Colorado Rose sandstone, as is the matching bench.

The two garage doors have custum cedar finish.
All of the timberframe is structural, pegged mortise and tenon. There are two bays and side stairs to the second floor private entry.

The structural postwork is all beautifuly done, pegged timberframe construction. There is metal wainscoat at the ground level. This is the west side of the house.

The exterior stairs that lead to the private entry into the bonus room above the garage are on the northwest corner of the house.

The stairs are open style with the treads let-in to the stringers which match the timberframe style throughout the house. This is another view of the exterior stairs with a beautiful and unique brace supporting the outside corner of the roof extension.

The entry on the northeast corner of the house is timberframe as well, subtle yet classic rustic style.

The front door was custum built in Ridgway by local artisan and cabinet maker, Adam Johnson, in his Wood Heart workshop; it has a "speakeasy" window cutout with a small shutter.

The front door handle.

The roof is 22 guage tinselform rusty metal with custum flashing everywehere imaginable, installed by local roofing master, Joe Melley. The roof insulation over the timberframe Great Room, as well as the walls of the Great Room and roof above the attic is expansion foam while the rest is blown cellulous. (With sound proofing fiberglass between all internal walls and between floors).

The southwest corner of the house. On the far side of the roof are the solar panels for the in-floor hydronic heat. There is in-floor heat in the upstairs as well as the first floor slab. The french doors open to the Great Room, which also has skylights.
Here one can see the cedar two-by trim around the wood, metal clad Semco windows, the beautiful pine soffit, cedar facia, extensive flashing and metal roof. The skylights are above the first floor Great Room.

The sunny, large upstairs deck leads from the Master Bedroom. The solar panels heat the house. The first floor slab is extra thick (nine to ten inches) which acts as the heat sink for the solar heating system.
Again, the exterior braces supporting the deck are pegged timberframe and the joists supporting the deck are let-in to the cross beam, maintaining the timberframe style which is strong, structural and creates a beautiful frame for the view from the Dining Room windows to the south.
An extra trim piece has been added to hide the deck flooring end grain. The deck is Elk brand composite decking with is long life and low maintenance.

These photos show off the Master Bedroom deck and the views to the east of the Cimmeron Range.
These are the views from the Master Bedroom deck across the Solar Ranches open space to the south toward Ouray. The railing top is five-quarter Trex brand decking. The ballesters are run with cedar that matches the window trim. The siding is cedar lap siding.
This photo shows the Ouray Ampetheater and Abrams Peak on the way up Red Mountain Pass.

This is the view across the open space towards Ouray, seven miles to the south.

This is another view of the Master Bedroom deck. It also shows the cedar railing around the deck, the cedar siding, and cedar window trim as well as the door to the Master Bedroom.
These photos show the south side of the house in the summer, with solar panels on the roof,
and the garden window on the southeast corner which creates a green space in the Dining Room.
